Ring the doorbell on the right side to start a fight with the Bad Bouncer. He'll charge towards you and fall over before standing up and firing out of both hands, you can jump over the line of bullets as it moves towards the center. Don't worry too much if the rats don't survive the fight.Once you've defeated him go up the steps that open up to get into the turret.
Here you have to shoot the targets on the seven balloons, but you'll also want to shoot the four Trigger Happy dancers on the sign at the back, if you smash both sides and then hit the middle once the sign will fall over. After the seven there'll be one more balloon to shoot down.Follow Trigger Happy down the stairs and go across to the sign you knocked over. 2/13 - Behind the SignTreasure Chest 1/3If you shot the sign over during the turret section you can reach the Treasure Chest here. Now go inside the arcade. 3/13 - Golden ArcadeTreasure Chest 2/3Immediately to your left.Walk forwards and talk to Sal and then again to start playing a game of Creation Clash against the Creation Clasher robot, he's only really got one good Skystone so shouldn't be too much more difficult than Baron von Shellshock was. And you do get an Imaginite Chest for winning.Troll RadioBehind Sal is a Troll Radio that gives you Fiesta Music and Orchestra Effects. The Mabu next to Sal, Short Fuse, has a game you can play called 'Sprocket's Tanktics'. In this completely optional minigame you drive a tank around a battlefield attempting to destroy three enemy bases before they can destroy yours. The bases are in the top left corner, the top right corner, and the bottom right corner of the area, you'll have to shoot through barbed wire to get them as well as shoot enemy tanks that are trying to destroy your tank.
If your tank explodes Sprocket will get out and bash the nearest tank a few times before you reappear at your base in a new tank ready to get back out there and carry on. I don't know whether there's a limit to the number of levels you can reach (I managed to get to stage 21 before the enemy tanks had just too much health) but each time you go up a level the enemy tanks get a little bit more health so it takes a little bit longer to destroy them. If you manage to beat the highscore you get an Imaginite Chest which, on your first go, will be 'The Wrenchinator'.Anyway, go up the slope to the right once you're done with that.
4/13 - Noob TestingTo Sal's left is an Imaginite Chest that triggers a Snail Challenge. There's also a safe that you can open for some coins if you rotate the middle to face the marked rune three times.Egg RescueAnd to the right is an Egg Rescue machine.Hop up the steps and activate the turret to start a target shooting minigame, while you're shooting the ducks turn the turret to the left and shoot a target in a pile of giant gold coins to open up an area. Finish shooting the ducks then the left side of the platforms to spin them down. After lowering them both go to the left into the doorway you created.
5/13 - Leaky Gold PileLegendary Selfie Frame - SmasherProvided you shot open the door during the turret sequence you can just hop over the gap and get the Legendary Selfie Frame in here.6/13 - Winner's CircleGo up the platforms you lowered to meet up with Sal again next to a Selfie Spot, a one-armed bandit chest with some coins in, and the start of a Grind Challenge. 7/13 - Plushy PlazaOn your left when you land is a pad for an item you haven't unlocked yet, come back later on in the game once you have to get an area for the all areas total, otherwise skip to area 9 'Defective Vaults' which is in a room below, off the side to the right. 8/13 - Plushie SpilloverThere's not much but a Selfie Spot over here but you'll still need to visit if you want to get the all areas checkmark. Return in the cable car.Smash through the plushies to the right of Sal and hug the near wall, drop off the edge through a gap in the barrier to enter a room below.
Grab the treasure, then exit the building and start forward through the stage. Enemies rush to attack, but they go down quickly. Mind the explosive barrels as you brawl, however. When you defeat the last of the foes, a gate opens to the right and you can head down some steps.Check out the building to the right.
You can enter it to find a Troll Radio and another Selfie Spot. Both are out in the open, difficult to miss. Tend to those, then exit the building and look ahead. There is a water wheel in the river, and there are explosive crates stacked on the far side of the area. If you have projectiles, toss them at the crates to trigger explosions.
Otherwise, get near and bump a crate around so that it flashes before you quickly retreat. Once the crates blast apart, the path is cleared for you to advance again. Now you run into a second water wheel, this one adorned with spikes. You have to cross the wheel when there is an opening in the spikes, which otherwise act as a barrier. When you reach the other side, Stealth Elf meets you and points to a hole in a tree. Head right from there and you will find more stacks of crates, which are dangerous in this instance because a distant ship pelts you with cannon fire while you try to safely advance. Keep an eye on the background to avoid that hazard. When you reach the far side of the walkway, you are at the Philosopher's Fort. Head over to the doorway, which you can investigate to trigger a mini-game.
It's the one where you connect the three gems and then slide the Sensei through the portal. You can back out and try again if you get a false start.
Once you clear the mini-game, pass through the doors to find a Treasure Chest.Next, return to the outside area and start along the walkway toward the cannon. As you do, break apart the explosive crates. The floor crumbles beneath you and you drop to the lower level, where you can head back toward the left to find the Tri-Tip Soul Gem. It teaches the Never Saw It Coming ability.
Some weak enemies are waiting, as well, so eliminate them and step onto the platform they were guarding. It rises to the overhead area, so that you can now safely approach the cannon. As you aim the cannon, it by default points to Command Ship A.
However, you can tilt the left analog stick to the right to seek out a different target: Secret Island. Fire toward that destination and you will fly through the air and land at the advertised location. This is the Hermit's Hideaway, and there are a few weak enemies guarding the area. Defeat them and ascend the grassy ledges to find the level's final Treasure Chest. Then head to the chain at the edge of the island and interact with it to slide down to the ship. Now that you've reached Command Ship A, follow the upper deck around the mast, and drop to the main deck.
Grab the pretzel along the way, if you're low on health, as enemies will rush to great you. They are pretty weak, but there are enough of them that you should be careful. Once you clear out that nuisance, a brief cutscene introduces a new foe: the Hairburn. He runs toward you, then pounces. You can avoid his pounce easily, if you keep moving.
Sometimes, he turns around and shakes his rump at you, after which point rockets fly into the air and then descend in the areas temporarily marked by red target symbols. Steer clear of those as you take out the weaker enemies and then focus on the big guy.
After you win that battle, then you can strike the gong to initiate a Gong Battle, if you like. Quarters are cramped, and there are a lot of small but fairly nasty enemies, so ask yourself if you really need the loot.
Once you emerge the victor (or if you just give the gong a pass), look out toward the ship floating in the clouds. There are two doors to either side of that viewpoint. Start by entering the right door, which leads to the Spar Deck area.
Here, you can find the Bazooker Legendary Selfie Frame. You can also play Creation Clash against Hanks.Once you have tended to those points of interest, head back out onto the deck where the gong appeared. This time, you want to proceed through the door that was to the left. It leads to the Engine Room, where you need to push several sliding blocks. Push the right two blocks back toward the wall, so that they line up in a row. That opens a bay, revealing a pad.
Step onto it to launch yourself to the engine room's roof.Stealth Elf makes another appearance to point out a chain, which you should hop onto and grind along. The chain will take you to the Academic Islands. Blow up some crates to the left and loot the Imaginite chest, then look to the crank that is pointed out with a conspicuous arrow. Turn the crank by pressing the indicated button repeatedly. You will cause a platform to lower toward you.
Hop onto it, and run to its right side as it ascends. You want to quickly jump out to the ledge to the right and check nearby.
You will find the Sorcerer Shrine. You can also enter the Insect Studies building, nearby. Inside, the Ember Soul Gem rests in a back corner. It teaches the Undying Rage ability. Then you should exit the building and drop back down to the lower ledge with the crank.
Use it to summon the platform to you again, and this time ride it all the way up to the ledge on the opposite side of the water wheel. There are some enemies and explosives here, so take care of them and then look to the right. You should see a cracked wall, near the base of some explosive crates. If you touch those off, the resulting blast will eliminate the wall and reveal an opening.Pass through that opening to enter The Mine. Here, you can collect the Bazooker Imaginator Soul Gem, which teaches the 1M4G1N1T3 Payload ability. There also is an Egg Rescue mini-game booth. Do with those what you will, then exit back to the outside ledge and turn the crank to bring a distant platform toward you.
That will allow you to reach the higher ledge to the right, where you will find the stage's second cannon.Jump into the cannon and this time nudge the left analog stick to the left, to reveal another Secret Island destination. Blast over to that island, which is labeled Forgotten Islands. Turn the nearby crank to bring a platform down to your level, and tend to the explosive crates (hopefully from a safe distance). Once they are gone, you can use that ledge to ride up to higher ground. More crates wait to the left, so eliminate those to find a Level Star. Then head to the right and ride the chain down to the deck of another ship.On Command Ship B, drop to the lower deck and deal with the squad of enemies that rushes you. There is a pretty decent group of them, and a Hairburn will eventually join the fight.
Once everyone is dealt with, you can head toward the edge of the deck and a cutscene follows. Then it's time for a boss battle. Walkthrough004o.jpgOnce you chip away enough health, the Doomlander will gain the ability to fire a bunch of explosive shells into the air. They will come down shortly, where you see a row of red circles, so make sure that you avoid those as you move around the deck and assault their source. This should quickly bring on the third phase, which includes all of the above and cannon shots from the nearby airship. If you have been saving up some charged attacks, now would be a good time to use them, so that you can finish the fight strong. After that battle, you might expect the stage to conclude, but it actually has a few nasty surprises still in store. Collect your reward from the Imaginite chest that appears, then enter the doorway to the right to arrive at the entrance to The Cannon Maze.Although this area is supposed to function as a maze, it's actually quite straightforward.
You simply need to cross the room while avoiding shots from mini-cannons that are positioned along the side. Keep their location in mind and run from switch to switch, triggering them to spin the red bars so that you can keep moving. You already have the stage's worthwhile loot at this point, so there's no need to put yourself at risk for non-existent rewards.Once you make it to the far side of the room, exit through the door along the right side. It leads to a new chain that you can grind along. Do so, and you'll soon reach another sky island. As you do, you'll initiate a Snail Challenge.
You need to collect 17 of the glowing Imaginite bolts, which shouldn't present a problem. Then you have to deal with another of the spiked water wheels, which leads to a wall of explosive crates and barrels.
Clear those out of your way and then you come to a set of additional water wheels. Someone has repaired some of the gaps between the spikes, so you have to bash them to break them apart, while being careful to avoid falling into the water. On the far side of that river, you find Vine Grind Gulf. There is another symbol on the raised ledge. Interact with it to grind down another chain. In this instance, you will find multiple vines, and you can hold left or right on the left analog stick while you jump to switch tracks and make sure that you collect the available Imaginite while avoiding barriers and explosives. At the base of that vine, you'll find the Vine Down Landing area.
Ahead and to the left, there is a Selfie Spot, so take advantage of that if you would like. Then, to the right from there, you can break some barrels and run up a wide vine to find the Sentinel Shrine.
Once you deal with that, then you can head back down the vine and advance toward the building, where you must play a mini-game to enter. This one plays like past ones, except you have to slide your Sensei over the hammer to gain the ability to break some of the weak blocks apart. After you clear that mini-game, you can enter the Castle Sewer area. Kaos greets you, and then you begin an extended boss battle sequence. Walkthrough004t.jpgAs you run along the narrow ledges, also watch for the beast's tail. It will sometimes sweep along a ledge and try to knock you back, which is also unwelcome.
Be ready to jump it any time you're essentially crossing the channel from right to left or vice-versa, and also watch for any health pick-ups you find along the way. When you finally get to the top of the initial area, you find a large pool of water. In chambers like this one, the beast often emerges from the soup and sends waves rolling toward you. They come in pairs, one right after the other, and you need to move back and forth to line up with openings so that the murky water doesn't hit you and cause damage.
Sometimes after such waves, the beast flops down on the stone ledge and then you can get in some good hits before it's time to retreat again. Walkthrough004u.jpgThe above pattern persists for some time, growing increasingly deadly as you advance, until you see a scene with Kaos and he claims an important item. The fight is nearly concluded now, but the beast is especially lethal in the struggle's final phase. It is capable of biting you as you get close, even when it seems to be in a weakened state, and those bites are instant death for low-level Skylanders. Be very cautious here and try to attack from the side rather than head-on, when possible.Once you defeat the sea monster, another chest appears, and you can finally exit the stage with your rewards. Next, it's time for another trip to The Academy.
